Katie and Mike have to be two of the sweetest people I’ve met. They have found true love in one another, there’s no doubt about it. Being behind the lens on the day of a wedding, I am constantly witnessing and catching more details than people would imagine! I saw countless acts of kindness and love between Mike and Katie throughout their special day. It makes me smile even now. I truly believe that it’s the little things that matter and Katie and Mike will have a long happy life together!
Their wedding theme was so unique and personal to both Mike and Katie. When she told me it was going to be a Sci-Fi themed wedding I thought, “well, hmmm…okay.” (Something I know absolutely zilch about) My second thought was, “Will there would be lightsabers?” Turned out to be a very entertaining theme and the guests loved the handmade (by the lovely Katie) centerpieces that represented several sci-fi movies. It’s not everyday you attend a wedding that has a Flux Capacitor!
Everything about this wedding day was special and everyone could feel it. I had to stop myself from getting emotional during the ceremony so I could hold the camera steady! One of my favorite parts of this wedding were the speeches given by Mike’s sister, and Katie’s twin sister. They had everyone laughing and some even crying. Those are the moments I strive to capture so my bride and groom can hold them forever.
